On 22nd October On-Site Connect’s very own Bev Edwards will be taking part in the Great South Run.
Bev is tackling the 10 mile event across Portsmouth and Southsea raising funds for the Great Western Air Ambulance. Bev had previously not run any further than a few miles when signing up for the event & is now consistently running 7 miles.
In September 2009 a member of Bev’s family suffered severe burns after being instructed to connect a cable to a box on a HV switch which he was informed was not live. The Great Western Air Ambulance flew him to Frenchay Hospital, Bristol where he spent 5 days in an induced coma and remained in hospital for 9 weeks. After many years of operations and skin grafts he is now firmly on the road to recovery, and once again, enjoying life.
Without the wonderful work of the Great Western Air Ambulance this would not be the good news story that it is.
If you would like to show your support, any donation will be greatly appreciated. We have provided the link for Bev’s just giving page below and all of The On-Site Group wish her the best of luck.
